The
Center for Adaptive Technology (CAT) provides technology
access solutions for people with visual, physical, and learning
disabilities. Our goal is to help SCSU students become independent
computer users and to ensure access to the same technology
other students use to achieve their educational goals. For
thirteen years, SCSU has provided computer access at its
nationally recognized Center for Adaptive Technology. Access
technology is now available in many other locations on campus,
including general Macintosh and Windows computing labs, the
library, and classrooms. What follows is a break-down of
the lab by hardware, features, and software packages. Link
to any section of this page by clicking its corresponding
heading below.
Note: As part
of the Engleman Hall rennovations, the CAT lab will be
moving from it's present location in ENC005 to a new location
in EB017A-D. Please check with lab or consult
the CAT website shown below for further information on
this change in location.
