The
goal of the Student Technology Resource Center (STRC) is
to ensure that all students at SCSU have access to a personal
computer, network connectivity, and a basic level of software
(e.g. communications, web browser, word processing, e-mail,
etc). The STRC is a one-stop-shop for Southern students to
learn the ins and outs of most popular office application
software on a one-one basis. Think of it as a personalized
Tutorial Center for technology. STRC offers a variety of
services to students including basic email/web kiosks, graphics/multimedia
stations, a dedicated teaching/instructional area, student
technology tutoring, and a unique computer loan program for
student who might otherwise be unable to afford a computer
of their own. What follows is a break-down of the lab by
hardware, features, and software packages. Link to any section
