Banner
6 Upgrade - (June 12 and 13)
Internet Native Banner -
(June 12 and 13) - Internet Native Banner is a new way to log in
to Banner Production to look up banner forms that you are familiar
with (e.g. SFASRPO, etc....) on your desktop or laptop computer.
Those who utilize Banner via the yellow banner icon (SPROD) on our
PC desktop, or Citrix connection on our Macintosh, we will now be
able to get to Banner Production on campus via any web browser.
WebCAPP - Lynn Kohrn is currently
working on implementing the degree audit module of Banner, named
Curriculum, Advising and Program Planning (CAPP). WebCAPP will allow
the student to view their planned program on the web, see what requirements
they have or have not met, and do a "what if" change-of-major
analysis.
Spreadsheet Export - In selected
Finance screens, the user can click a button and have their data
exported into Microsoft Excel.
Consistent Pre-Requisite Checking
- Lynn Kohrn is also working on implementing pre-requisite
checking. The current version of Banner does not check pre-requisites
the same in-person as it does on the web. This new version consolidates
the code so that a student is processed the same way no matter which
method they use to register.
Web Transcript Requests -
Students can request official transcripts via the web, keying in
the receiving entity themselves. When the request is fulfilled,
students receive a confirmation message with the details of the
transaction.
Web Quick Admit - Non-matriculated
students new to the university can enter basic information to create
their initial university record, and then register and pay for a
single course, all via the web.Thank you for your understanding
and patience throughout this continual upgrade process.
