for creating an online counterpart to the traditional brick and mortar university classroom learning experience. A myWebCT provides you with centralized access to all of your WebCT courses on the server.
 
High Tech Classrooms are all new classrooms equipped with access to modern computers, projector systems, connectivity for laptops, and additional resources for electronic instruction such as VCR's, DVD players, and Elmo paper scanner/projectors.
 
The Center for Adaptive Technology (CAT) is a place for students with disabilities to learn to use computers and adaptations that provide computer access. Our goal is to help students with learning, sensory, and motor or orthopedic disabilities become independent computer users.
 
Academic Computing at Southern CT State University provides a dozen public computer labs with the latest in software applications and hardware are excessable to assist students, faculty, and staff with their education.
 

From an innovative program designed to equip students with technology skills independent of academic major (STARS) to positions working as the frontline service and support for campus computer labs (Lab Assistants), Southern's Academic Computing department has numerous opportunities available for students interested in learning and assisting others with technology on campus.

  •  In the Fall of 2001, a new technology program was created at Southern Connecticut State University. This program, referred to as STARS (Student Technology Assistance RepresentativeS) brings students, faculty and Information Technology personnel together in a collaborative effort to explore the use of technology in teaching and learning.

  •  The Academic Computing Lab Assistant position constitutes the front-line to any and all questions, concerns, and basic computing issues that arise in Southern CT State University’s public computing labs. Lab Assistants monitor computer equipment, assist patrons with basic software questions, and ultimately maintain a positive, proactive, and assistive atmosphere for SCSU faculty, staff, and students.
