MISSION STATEMENT

Collaborating and partnering with faculty, staff, and students of SCSU in applying Information Technology to achieve their goals and deliver technology solutions to the campus community.

VISION

• Deliver IT products and services to continue to support the evolving needs of faculty, staff, and students.
• Operate and improve the IT environment to meet the needs of our customers; continue to define, refine, and build the SCSU IT architecture and infrastructure.
• Engage the University community to identify Information Technology needs, and to use information technology in a way that adds value to the community's activities.
• Use technology to facilitate information acquisition, assessment and dissemination.
• Measure and track organizational performance, customer satisfaction, and unit accountability.
• Leverage teams to respond to customers' individual and collective needs, emphasizing opportunities for collaboration and economies of scale, both within the university and across the CSU system.
• Plan IT work intentionally: practice prioritization, resource management, and work allocation.

S T R A T E G I C   G O A L S

• Work collaboratively with CSU System Office and our sister institutions on system-wide projects.
• Working collaboratively with the University-wide IT Committees(Information Stewards, IT Applications and IT Services), assisted by Consultants when appropriate.
• Support Faculty Teaching and Student Learning
• Build a solid foundation of IT infrastructure to enable SCSU to achieve a position of leadership.
• Reduce the backlog of IT projects.
• Manage within University Computing budgets, always looking for ways to decrease costs and seek out efficiencies.
• Maintain excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff.
• Provide an Information Technology environment that will build and retain a strong University Computing team.
